  1. Tasik Kenyir or Kenyir Lake is an artificial lake located in the state of Terengganu in northeast Malaysia created in 1985 by the damming of the Kenyir River to create the Sultan Mahmud Power Station.Kenyir Lake is the largest man-made lake in Southeast Asia. Sharing its border with Kelantan in the west and Pahang in the south. This immense lake also serve as another gateway to Taman Negara. The lake covers 260 km² and contains 340 small islands, which were once hiltops and highlands, more than 14 waterfalls, numerous rapids and rivers. Because the lake is a reservoir, the water level can vary depending on the month. The water level is highest (and the lake consequently the most beautiful) in March and April.Kenyir Lake is also home to numerous species of freshwater fishes and exotic wildlife. With a water catchment area of 38,000 hectares, the lake is naturally a haven for freshwater fish. A recent study revealed that there are some 300 species of freshwater fish dwelling in the lake. The presence of dead trees around the lake serves as a perfect breeding ground for these fishes. Algae growing on dead trees and branches serve as the main form of sustenance for the fishes. From studies and observations conducted by the Department of Fisheries, species such as the big Lampam Sungai (Barboides), Kelah (Malaysian Mahsee), Toman (Snakehead), Kawan (Friendly Barb), Kalui (Giant Gouramy) and Kelisa (Green Arowana) are found in waters and around dead trees.
The jungles of Kenyir are home to some endangered species, such as Asian Elephants and Malaysian tigers.Although an artificial lake, the area has been successfully developed for eco-tourism, and there are many resorts around its shores. Fishing is popular, as are jungle treks, waterfalls and caves. According to the locals, the best season for fishing is August when the water level is lower. Popular spots for jungle trekking are Pengkalan Gawi, Bewah at National Park, along the rivers of Soak, Lasir, Tembat and Lawit. Kayaking, canoeing, boating, rafting and shooting rapids are among the many water sport activities availablehere.

  3. Assalamualaikum to everybody...

I hope all of you are in the best of health. For this session,I want to share with all of you about a dangerous reptiles which is a crocodile.

Crocodiles are among the more biologically complex reptiles despite their prehistoric look. Unlike other reptiles, they incorporate muscles used for aquatic locomotion into respiration, giving them the functional equivalent of a diaphragm; a cerebral cortex; and a four-chambered heart.Their external morphology on the other hand is a sign of their aquatic and predatory lifestyle.A crocodile’s physical traits allow it to be a successful predator.

Besides, they have a streamlined body that enables them to swim swiftly.Crocodiles also tuck their feet to their sides while swimming, which makes them faster by decreasing water resistance. They have webbed feet which, although not used to propel the animal through the water, allow it to make fast turns and moves in the water or initiate swimming. Webbed feet are an advantage in shallower water where the animals sometimes move around by walking.

I think, that`s all about the crocodile that I can share with all of you.I hope you can enjoy yourself reading my first comment for this month.Thank you.

  4. The Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Berhad is Malaysia's second automobile manufacturer after Proton. It was established in 1993 and launched their first car, the Perodua Kancil in late 1994. Perodua mainly produces small-compact cars and therefore does not actually compete with Proton for the same market niche. In the United Kingdom their cars are sold by some Proton dealers who wish to attract customers seeking a smaller and cheaper alternative to the Proton range.Perodua does not actually produce any in house designs or engineering for the main components (i.e engine, transmission). All Perodua cars are badge engineered from Daihatsu. Daihatsu used to own a majority stake in Perodua. In 2004, the Toyota Avanza started being assembled by Perodua in their factory in Rawang for the Malaysian market.

  5. Quality means a totality of characteristics of an entity that bear on its ability to satisfy stated and implied needs. In some references, Quality is referred to as "fitness for use", "fitness for purpose", "customer satisfaction", or "conformance to the requirements."
To achieve satisfactory quality we must concern all stages of the product or service cycle. In the first stage quality is due to a definition of needs. In the second stage it is due to product design and conformance. In the last stage quality is due to product support throughout its lifetime.
There are two major aspects of quality: quality of design and quality of conformance. Quality of design involves the variations of a product or services in grades or levels of quality. This includes the types of materials used in construction, tolerance in manufacturing, reliability, etc. Quality of conformance concerns how well the product conforms to the specifications and tolerances required by the design. Quality of conformance is influenced by the choices of manufacturing processes, training and supervision of the workforce, the type of quality-assurance system used, and the motivation of the workforce to achieve quality. :-)

  6. An optical fiber is a glass or plastic fiber that carries light along its length. Fiber optics is the overlap of applied science and engineering concerned with the design and application of optical fibers. Optical fibers are widely used in fiber-optic communications, which permits transmission over longer distances and at higher data rates than other forms of communications. Fibers are used instead of metal wires because signals travel along them with less loss, and they are also immune to electromagnetic interference. Fibers are also used for illumination, and are wrapped in bundles so they can be used to carry images, thus allowing viewing in tight spaces. Specially designed fibers are used for a variety of other applications, including sensors and fiber lasers.Light is kept in the core of the optical fiber by total internal reflection. This causes the fiber to act as a waveguide. Fibers which support many propagation paths or transverse modes are called multi-mode fibers , while those which can only support a single mode are called single-mode fibers . Multi-mode fibers generally have a larger core diameter, and are used for short-distance communication links and for applications where high power must be transmitted. Single-mode fibers are used for most communication links longer than 550 metres .Joining lengths of optical fiber is more complex than joining electrical wire or cable. The ends of the fibers must be carefully cleaved, and then spliced together either mechanically or by fusing them together with an electric arc. Special connectors are used to make removable connections.

  7. A cook's responsibilities--which extend beyond just chopping, slicing and dicing--depend upon position and place of employment. While short-order cooks work in coffeehouses, diners and other eateries where fast service and high turnover are the model, for example, line or assistant cooks work an assigned station and prepare a specific type of food in the larger kitchens of restaurants and hotels. Head cooks are responsible for selecting kitchen equipment, ordering and keeping stock of food supplies and managing a team of assistants, in addition to overseeing food preparation and presentation. Cooks may also go on to work as caterers or open their own restaurants.

  8. A super star -- Yao Ming

I want to depict a world-renowned NBA basket-ball star named Yao Ming, who is actually one of the famous basket-ball player in the world. I believe everyone in China and USA knows him.

Yao got drafted by Houston Rockets in 2003 and began his professional career there. Currently, he is undoubtedly the best center as well as the most influential international player in the entire league. He has been present for 6 consecutive All-Star games since his landing.

Well, Yao is quite special in terms of both professionalism and business. As a rookie, things weren't quite going well with him, for he used to be too skinny and couldn't really fit in with the tough body contact as the fierce competition in the league. But look at him now, after years of monotonous and harsh physical training, he's already become strong and hard to shake in the paint. On top of that, Yao is also enthusiastic about attending a lot of commercials and has been making numerous investments in certain fields such as catering and fitness.

Finally, being a big fan of NBA, I will never get tired of meeting Yao Ming. While a more important thing is that Yao is the pride of China, and it will be a great honor for me to see such a hero in person.

  9. The Mona Lisa

Everyone knows that I like Italy very much. Why I like Italy? Because of the famous Italian Renaissance. One of the master Leonardo da Vinci is my favourite artist, and I like his masterpiece-- the Mona Lisa very much.

Although, I have never seen the original painting, which is said to be on display in the French Louvre Museum. I remember the first time I saw it was when I was in primary school. It was a reproduction in the book on art history.

Talking about what it looked like, the picture was really amazing. The painting showed a woman looking out at the viewer with an "enigmatic smile". When you look at Mona Lisa, no matter where you stand, you find her looking at you and smiling at you.

Continuing then with what I like about it, I think its uniqueness really appeals to me. The Mona Lisa is perhaps the most famous piece in art history and is perhaps the most widely know portrait in the Western world. It's so different from the paintings of Chinese style. It offers me both artistic enjoyment as well as some knowledge about western culture.

  10. In the first place, concerning what the things is, I think I will prefer to venture into virgin forest, which might sound a little scary to some people.

In addition, with reference to why it is dangerous, I guess the reasons are quite obvious. A virgin forest is a place remaining almost unknown to humans, and thus a variety of unexpected dangers might occur such as being attacked by brutal animals, or even running into certain primitive tribes.

Proceeding with the issue of why I want to do it, I have to admit that it is part of my nature to look into the unexplored. In the meantime, I always want to enrich my life by exposing myself to a lot of new things, especially those which can never be experienced on the current life track.

In response to the final question of what I can get from doing so, the greatest benefit should be knowledge. My horizons will undoubtedly be broadened for I may witness quite a number of fauna and flora which I never heard of before. Another benefit will be the precious survival experience under such harsh and rigorous environment. Such training can surely benefit me in handling affairs in modern society.

  11. The legend in China, Asia

I guess i could start by writing something about who the person is, and I think I would have to choose the superstar Liu Xiang.

Then, with regard to what he does, I really need to add that this athlete from Shanghai has successfully achieved champion in the 110 meters hurdle race in the 2006 Swiss Tournament. He finished his race in 12.88 seconds which renewed the world record.

Going on to my third point of what is special about him, and the point I want to make here is that he has achieved the record which is said to be impossible, creating a miracle in front of a world of spectators. In recent years, Chinese athletes have successfully gained international recognition for their outstanding performance. However, there haven't been many breakthroughs on the track field, and that's why I admire him so much.

So finally, if I have time, in answer to the question which is why I'd like to meet him, really I should mention that I am eager to have his autograph, so I would probably take a picture together with him and ask him to sign the photo.

  12. I like challenge myself, so I like extreme sports, especially bungee jump.

Actually, I really want to give it a shot one day! Because I always want to try something I have never experienced before. It is quite dangerous actually, but still worth a go! There is no reason why I want to try it. Just want to feel how excited I would get when I am doing that, feel the speed of the wind and feel how fast I am going down. I hope I would not be trembling like anything before I try that, as I heard that numerous people quite at the last moment. You really need a bit guts and faith to do it!

I do not know what I will get from doing so. Maybe I would feel so scared and it feels like I am dead already and my soul comes back again. Maybe I would feel I might be so close to death. Maybe I would realize how happy I am just to be alive. I don't know. So just wait and try.

  13. Today, I'm very busy. So, I have no time to take up any hobby. But next time, I want to study play golf.

It is a sport for gentlemen and rich people. There is no special reason why I want to do that. It is just because I always want to try something different or something new. Actually, it is not very popular in our country. It may be because of the high cost of playing this game. It usually cost you a pretty penny to play one round. So a lot of golf companies even lose money these days.

I am going to learn how to play golf when I get some time. I want to learn how to tee the ball up and drive. I learnt a bit, but just about how to hold the club, so there is a lot more to learn. I am not really sure about when I am going to do that. But I just think it is a classy and also life-long sport and I should learn it sooner or later.

  14. I love a lot of sports, and am sometimes a sports freak. So it is pretty hard for me to pick just one. But anyway, I want to talk about pool. I like it. Last week, my friends and I go to Kuantan play it. I am not a good player, but not too bad. It is just so cool to play pool but it will be cooler if you play snooker.

I play snooker, because of I like watch Ding Junhui playing that, who is the best one in China, of course live. Ince he got a shot, he would shoot all balls into pocket. It is not only about the next ball you are going to shoot, it is all about strategy: how you place the next ball, how much strength you are going to use, and sure you should always concentrate. Some green players would just get some beginner's luck, like me. But it would not last long. Skills and practice matter a lot more.

I played with my friends, I lose the games. There is no special reason why I like it. It is just I think it is a cool game. Pool is quite popular in our country. A lot of people play it and play well. It is not only for men these days, but lots of girls are starting to get hooked on it as well.

  15. China has many special animals. Many people know the panda, Amur tiger and South China Tiger. But only a few people know the Tibetan antelope. Tibetan antelope is a class-one endangered wild animal in my country, with the shining nickname of plateau spirit.

Next, in reply to where it can be found, as you can tell from its name, the place you can spot them is in Kekexili, Tibet, a boundless autonomous region in west China.

Regarding the theme of how people in my country feel about it, I think the majority of Chinese and Tibetan are proud of possessing such a precious species within our borders. While on the other hand, people also hold an anxious attitude towards the existence of them, for they have been brought to the brink of extinction by years of poaching. Fortunately, the Chinese authorities took action against the illegal hunting in 1999, and now there are several protection zones established to look after these animals.

Finally, with respect to whether I have seen it, I have to say that I have only seen their figures on public service announcements or some postage stamps. Since personally I haven't been to their remote and mysterious habitat, I have never witnessed any of these rare creatures. I'm preparing next holiday I would go to Tibet and visit them.

  16. I have left China with a long time. I miss my girlfriend very much. She asked me to visit her hometown next holiday which is Tsingtao when I go back to China. Tsingtao is the most fabulous coastal city in Shandong Province.
What's more, in response to what I visited there, actually I toured around numerous tourist attractions, including both natural scenes and cultural relics. Among all the places I visired, a magnificent Catholic church constructed by German invaders during WWⅡ left me with the deepest impression.

Progressing to the subject of what I liked about the place, I guess my favorite part about the city is its constructions. As a coastal city, Tsingtao has already become economically-developed. Decades age, however, back to WWⅡ, Tsingtao used to be a strategic land for many foreign countries, and thus has been occupied by different invaders. And this special experience resulted in the diversity if its architectural style. War is evil, while culture is not. These great works of architecture have already become a treasure of mankind. Every Tsingtao people knows that German has constructed the city, Japanese has destroyed the city.

At last, in answer to if I would like to go there again ( next holiday), I think the answer is doubtlessly yes. Who will get tired of visiting such a wonderland?

  17. There are various kinds of jobs in the world, such as writing, nursing, teaching and engineering. But different people choose different things as their ideal careers. As for me, I have made up my mind to be a teacher.

I choose to do so mainly for three reasons. In the first place, I want to teach because I like the pace of the academic calendar. You know, two long vacations offer me a terrific opportunity for reflection, research and writing. Next, the following reason is that I really enjoy the freedom to make my own mistakes, to learn my own lesson, and to stimulate myself as well as the students. In this way, I can have the opportunity to keep on learning. Finally, being around the students who are ready to grow and blossom, I myself will get refreshed and developed with them too.

However, teaching is no easy job at all, since there is actually quite a lot of extra work required for any teacher to stay competent. The bottom line, apparently, is to keep abreast of the lastest academic development and perfect the lessons at any time. On top of that, a teacher also needs to study wisely to obtain more knowledge, so that he could be the role model to the students in some other aspects as well.

Nowadays, we live in so competitive a society that it's not easy to find a job which we really fancy. However, I am confident that the dream of being a teacher will be fulfilled through my continued hard work.

  22. My experience in Malaysia

Malaysia is a attractive country. Many things in Malaysia is new for me. What is special? In my opinion, the Chinese New Year is.

There is a ancient saying, in china, on the happy festival, more than ever we think of our relatives far away. The 2009 new year was my first time for me to have Spring Festival overseas. I had given my parents and grand parents call with best wishes. I had phoned my girl friend as well. Because they are all in China. I cannot accompany them to enjoy Spring Festival together.

Our university want to drop our specially perturbed feeling, that they organized some activities for us. For instance, playing bowling making kite and flying it also we playing football and other games on the beach, after all we were having a Chinese traditional big meal. Although, we were far from our relatives, old friends and country but we had new friends here. Today, Chinese new year is a great day in the would, not only Chinese people celebrate it but also many people enjoy it.

These day strike me as profound. I have a real feeling, that Malaysian are friendly and kind. We are all enjoy Spring Festival.

  23. Mineral water is water containing minerals or other dissolved substances that alter its taste or give it therapeutic value. Salts, sulfur compounds, and gases are among the substances that can be dissolved in the water. Mineral water can often be effervescent. Mineral water can be prepared or can be obtained from naturally occurring mineral springs. In many places, mineral water is often colloquially used to mean carbonated water, which is usually carbonated mineral water, as opposed to tap water.Traditionally mineral waters would be used or consumed at their source, often referred to as taking the waters or taking the cure, and such sites were referred to as spas, baths or wells. Spa would be used when the water was consumed and bathed in, bath when the water was not generally consumed, and well when the water was not generally bathed in. Often an active tourist centre would grow up around a mineral water site. Such tourist development resulted in spa towns and hydropathic hotels. In modern times, it is far more common for mineral waters to be bottled at source for distributed consumption. Travelling to the mineral water site for direct access to the water is now uncommon, and in many cases not possible. There are over 3000 brands of mineral water commercially available worldwide. Nowadays, people are confuse between mineral water and drinking water. I hope with this information all my friend will aware with the different of mineral water and drinking water.
