  1. The Rejimen Askar Wataniah is the reserve component of the Malaysian Army. An equivalent formation in the British Army would be the Territorial Army.
The Regiment infantry unit is divided into 2 series; the 300 series and the 500 series. The 300 series consist of 5 infantry battalions with mobilized reservists for full time duty. They are mostly posted at northern border check-points. The 500 series are reserve volunteers units, based in major towns and cities throughout the whole country. In all, there are about sixteen Regiments of the 500 seriesIn 1861, the Penang Volunteers were formed as a volunteer army unit of the Straits Settlement. Similar units were formed in Singapore and in the other Malay States.
In 1902, the Federated Malay States formed the Malay State Volunteer Rifles (MSVR) volunteer force. The Unfederated Malay States also formed their own volunteer units. With further expansion, the formations were then known as the Federated Malay States Volunteer Force (FMSVF), Unfederated Malay States Volunteer Force (UFMSVF) and the Straits Settlement Volunteer Force (SSVF).

  2. Punishing a child may seem like a great idea at the time, as it is immediately effective in stopping challenging behaviour. However, the effects don’t last very long, as the child will only behave as long as the constant threat of being punished hangs in the air.
In the long run, punishing will neither teach desirable behaviour nor reduce the child’s desire to misbehave.
    So what DOES punishing teach?
In fact, punishment will teach a child:
To cover his tracks when he misbehaves, so that he doesn’t get caught.
To misbehave up to the acceptable limit, so that he gets away with as much as he can without being punished.
To hit others to teach them a lesson when he’s older and bigger, because right now it’s okay for older and bigger adults to hit him.
Not exactly the kind of things you’d want your child to learn.

  3. After one month muslims are fasting, they can celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri or Hari Raya Puasa. Hari Raya is also known as Lebaran. Muslims in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines celebrate Aidilfitri like other Muslims throughout the world. The term "Hari Raya" literally means "Day of Celebration". It is also occasionally used to refer to Eid ul-Adha in the form of "Hari Raya Aidiladha". The main greeting used by Muslims in Malaysia and Singapore is "Selamat Hari Raya" which means "Happy Eid" in Malay. Another greeting is "maaf zahir dan batin" which translates loosely to "I seek forgiveness from you physically and spiritually", for Hari Raya is a time to reconcile and renew relationships with others.

  4. Today, i would like to share about how to be wealth. Sometimes, we will ask ourself, why some people are rich and why, well, most of us are not? Here, i get this article from the reader's digest magazine.

First, we must to know the wealthy possess traits like optimism, resilience, grit, and curiosity, as well as habits like reading every day and expressing gratitude. "The good news is, everyone can learn to do these things."

Second, we must to take control of spending. Track our spending, every cent for a month. Then review our notes to see where we can make cuts.

Another way is to locate a mentor, someone who can offer advice and honest feedback. The simple act of taking this initiative is a motivating force.

So, we can learn how the bilionaire be success in the world and take few of tips from them. But we should remenber that we suppose to be medium in our living.

  5. Nanotechnology, shortened to "nanotech", is the study of the control of matter on an atomic and molecular scale. Generally nanotechnology deals with structures of the size 100 nanometers or smaller, and involves developing materials or devices within that size. Nanotechnology is very diverse, ranging from extensions of conventional device physics to completely new approaches based upon molecular self-assembly, from developing new materials with dimensions on the nanoscale to investigating whether we can directly control matter on the atomic scale.
There has been much debate on the future implications of nanotechnology. Nanotechnology has the potential to create new materials and devices with a vast range of applications, such as in medicine, electronics and energy production. On the other hand, nanotechnology raises many of the same issues as with any introduction of new technology, including concerns about the toxicity and environmental impact of nanomaterials, and their potential effects on global economics, as well as speculation about various scenarios. These concerns have led to a debate among advocacy groups and governments on whether special regulation of nanotechnology is warranted.

  6. Self inspection is a technique of inspection in which workers check their own work. Self inspection provides the most immediate feedback. With this technique, the worker may accept products that ought to be rejected. Furthermore, the worker may not notice all the errors.
On the other hand, if the errors in decision and careless mistakes are eliminated, self inspection would be the efficient technique. However, it could be improved by developing tools or using devices that could automatically detect defects or mistakes. Providing new knowledge of quality processes to workers is an efficient method to improve the self inspection technique.
Generally, the results from inspections are reported in terms of the total percentage of defects. With this method, inspectors will check the final products. They may find some mistakes or product errors, but they will not know the actual error source. As mentioned, self inspection is a method to solve this problem. :-)

  7. Hollywood is a district in Los Angeles, California, United States, situated west-northwest of Downtown Los Angeles.[1] Due to its fame and cultural identity as the historical center of movie studios and movie stars, the word "Hollywood" is often used as a metonymy of American cinema. The nickname Tinseltown refers to the glittering, superficial nature of Hollywood and the movie industry.[2] Today, much of the movie industry has dispersed into surrounding areas such as the Westside neighborhood,[3] but significant auxiliary industries, such as editing, effects, props, post-production and lighting companies, remain in Hollywood, as does the backlot of Paramount Pictures.

Many historic Hollywood theaters are used as venues and concert stages to premiere major theatrical releases and host the Academy Awards. It is a popular destination for nightlife and tourism and home to the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Although it is not the typical practice of the city of Los Angeles to establish specific boundaries for districts or neighborhoods, Hollywood is a recent exception. On February 16, 2005, Assembly Members Goldberg and Koretz introduced a bill to require California to keep specific records on Hollywood as though it were independent. For this to be done, the boundaries were defined. This bill was unanimously supported by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Los Angeles City Council. Assembly Bill 588 was approved by the Governor on August 28, 2006, and now the district of Hollywood has official borders. The border can be loosely described as the area east of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood, south of Mulholland Drive, Laurel Canyon, Cahuenga Boulevard, and Barham Boulevard, and the cities of Burbank and Glendale, north of Melrose Avenue and west of the Golden State Freeway and Hyperion Avenue. This includes all of Griffith Park and Los Feliz—two areas that were hitherto generally considered separate from Hollywood by most Angelenos. The population of the district, including Los Feliz, as of the 2000 census was 167,664 and the median household income was $33,409 in 1999.[4]

As a portion of the city of Los Angeles, Hollywood does not have its own municipal government, but does have an official, appointed by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, who serves as an honorary "Mayor of Hollywood" for ceremonial purposes only. Johnny Grant held this position for decades, until his death on January 9, 2008
