  1. I would like to congratulate Petronas for such a meaningful advertisement in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri. It melted my hearth. It was really good message to our youth s today on how to respond to parents whenthey are older. This contribution and patience when we are kids are valuable, and we should repay them with love. Sometime, some of our words hurt them but they won’t show it, like potrayedin the advertisement. I hope Petronas will continue to broadcast advertisements with moral values for upcoming festivals.

  3. As we know, association football is the prominent sport in Brazil. The National Team has won the FIFA World Cup tournament a record five times, in 1958, 1962, 1970, 1994 and 2002 and is the only team to succeed in qualifying for every World Cup competition ever held, and to be among the favorites to win the trophy every time the competition is scheduled. Pelé, one of the most recognized footballers in history, led Brazil to two of those championships and is the top scorer of all time in the sport. After Brazil won its third World Cup, they kept the Jules Rimet Trophy permanently. All of the contemporary talents in the national team prominent in the football world include Robinho, Marta, Ronaldinho, Kaka. Some of these players can be considered super-stars, achieving celebrity status internationally and signing sports contracts, as well as advertisement and endorsement contracts, in the value of millions of euros.

  4. A tsunami is a series of water waves (called a tsunami wave train that is caused by the displacement of a large volume of a body of water, such as an ocean. The original Japanese term literally translates as "harbor wave." Tsunamis are a frequent occurrence in Japan; approximately 195 events have been recorded. Due to the immense volumes of water and energy involved, tsunamis can devastate coastal regions. Casualties can be high because the waves move faster than humans can run.
Earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and other underwater explosions (detonations of nuclear devices at sea), landslides and other mass movements, bolide impacts, and other disturbances above or below water all have the potential to generate a tsunami.
The Greek historian Thucydides was the first to relate tsunami to submarine earthquakes, but understanding of tsunami's nature remained slim until the 20th century and is the subject of ongoing research.
Many early geological, geographical, and oceanographic texts refer to tsunamis as "seismic sea waves."
Some meteorological conditions, such as deep depressions that cause tropical cyclones, can generate a storm surge, called a meteotsunami, which can raise tides several metres above normal levels. The displacement comes from low atmospheric pressure within the centre of the depression. As these storm surges reach shore, they may resemble (though are not) tsunamis, inundating vast areas of land. Such a storm surge inundated Burma (Myanmar) in May 2008.
he term tsunami comes from the Japanese, meaning "harbor" (tsu) and "wave" (nami). (For the plural, one can either follow ordinary English practice and add an s, or use an invariable plural as in the Japanese.
Tsunami are sometimes referred to as tidal waves. In recent years, this term has fallen out of favor, especially in the scientific community, because tsunami actually have nothing to do with tides. The once-popular term derives from their most common appearance, which is that of an extraordinarily high tidal bore. Tsunami and tides both produce waves of water that move inland, but in the case of tsunami the inland movement of water is much greater and lasts for a longer period, giving the impression of an incredibly high tide. Although the meanings of "tidal" include "resembling" or "having the form or character of" the tides, and the term tsunami is no more accurate because tsunami are not limited to harbours, use of the term tidal wave is discouraged by geologists and oceanographers.
There are only a few other languages that have a native word for this disastrous wave. In the Tamil language, the word is aazhi peralai. In the Acehnese language, it is ië beuna or alôn buluëk (Depending on the dialect. Note that in the fellow Austronesian language of Tagalog, a major language in the Philippines, alon means "wave".) On Simeulue island, off the western coast of Sumatra in Indonesia, in the Defayan language the word is semong, while in the Sigulai language it is emong.

  6. assalamualaikum & hello to everyone..

Today i would like to share about Hari Raya Aidilfitri. In Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei, Eid is also commonly known as Hari Raya Aidilfitri,Hari Otak, Hari Raya Idul Fitri or Hari Raya Puasa. Hari Raya literally means 'Day of Celebration'. Muslims in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore celebrate Eid like other Muslims throughout the world. It is the biggest holiday in Indonesia and Malaysia and is the most awaited one. Shopping malls and bazaars are filled with people days ahead of Hari Raya. Many banks, government and private offices are closed for this holiday, which usually lasts a week. The night before Eid is with the takbir which is held in the mosques or musallas. In many parts of Indonesia as well as Malaysia, especially in rural areas, pelita or panjut (oil lamps) are lit up in house compounds.Special dishes like ketupat, dodol, lemang(a type of glutinous rice cake cooked in bamboo)and other Indo-Malay delicacies are served during this day.It is common to greet people with "Selamat Hari Raya Idul Fitri" or "Salam Aidilfitri" which means "Happy Eid". Muslims also greet one another with "maaf lahir dan batin" in Indonesian and "maaf zahir dan batin" in Malaysian because Eid ul-Fitr is not only for celebrations but also the time for Muslims to cleanse their sins and strengthen their ties with relatives and friends. It is customary for Indonesians and Malays to wear traditional cultural outfits on the Eid.The outfit for men is called baju melayu or baju koko in Indonesia which is worn together with kain samping and songkok. The women in Indonesia and Malaysia wear what is known as baju kurung and baju kebaya.

  7. Now I would like to share with you about health and fitness. Physical fitness means any body movement or activity that involves maintaining or enhances overall health and fitness. Exercise is used for many different reasons such as developing better skills in a sport, building endurance, and enhancing general reflexes. The fitness world is expanding every day from having a muscle bound body for the men, to a slim and trim look for the ladies. Everybody is on a continuous battle for achieving that perfect body. In order to compile such a task takes detection, time, goals, and a strong mind. There are two major factors that determine the physical appearance of a person, how they feel and their weight. Diet and exercise is a great mediator in the way a person looks, weighs and feels. Your diet will greatly impact on the way you look, the way you approach things and the amount you will be able to do physically. A good balanced diet consists of the five major food groups. No single food can provide all the essential nutrients needed for good health and well being. The five major food groups are Bread and Cereal, Fruit, Vegetables, Meat and Meat Alternatives and the Milk Group. Bread and Cereal are recommended for six or seven serves per day. Fruit is recommended for two to three serves per day. Vegetables are recommended for four serves per day. Meat and Meat alternatives are recommended for one serve per day. The Milk Group for a young or still growing person is of much greater importance than when the person has stopped growing. The reason for this is because a growing body needs fats and dairy products for energy and nutrients. After growing has stopped your body will store this as fat because the need for energy and nutrients is not as great. If you follow these plans to eat you will look and feel great, you will also be able to participate in more physical activities such as running, skipping and swimming.

  11. My hobby playing football or soccer in america. Everyone have their own idol in their hobby. So, I have two idol in football. My idol is Roberto Carlos and Phillip Lahm. They become my idol because I play in the same position they are. There are some info for my idol. First, Roberto Carlos da Silva Rocha (born 10 April 1973 in São Paulo), commonly known as simply Roberto Carlos, is a Brazilian footballer who currently plays for Fenerbahçe of the Turkcel Süpe Lig, normally as a wing back. Roberto Carlos was a member of the Brazil national team in three World Cups, helping the team reach the final in the 1998 competition and win the 2002 tournament. He is also known for his trademark free kicks and explosive strikes. Second one is Philipp Lahm (born 11 November 1983 in Munich, Bavaria) is a German footballer who plays as a defender for Bayern Munich and Germany. He has played for VfB Stuttgart and Bayern Munich in Bundesliga and for Germany at Euro 2004, the 2006 FIFA World Cup and Euro 2008, and scored the opening goal of aforementioned world cup. He is considered one of the best full backs in the world, as is shown by his inclusion in the Mastercard All Star Team in 2006 and the UEFA Team of the Tournament in 2008. He is well known for his pace, dribbling and crossing abilities as well as his small stature. Although Lahm is right-footed, and while he played as a right back as a youth, he has also been played effectively at left back, where his runs with the ball from the left flank and swift cut-ins towards the centre, where he could then shoot with his strong right foot, has been a potent weapon for both Bayern and Germany.

  12. In the quality improvement movement in Japan in the latter half of the 20th century, the Japanese Union of Scientists and Engineers (JUSE) were influential in defining a set of basic tools that could be used for improving processes. These came to be known as the first seven tools. They are:

    1. Cause-Effect Diagram
    2. Pareto Chart
    3. Check Sheet
    4. Scatter Chart
    5. Bar Chart and other graphs
    6. Histogram
    7. Control Chart

Despite some fancy-sounding names, they are mostly very simple and easy to use: the trick is in consistent and appropriate use, not intellectual gymnastics and elitist occasional usage.

The tool that requires most thought and understanding is the Control Chart.

A number of these tools are only usable when a significant amount of numerical data is available. For situations where the data is more qualitative there is a second set of seven tools defined (seven seems to be a magical quality number :-).

  13. Located at the southeast coast of China, Xiamen is a tourist city of Fujian Province famous for its attractive seascape. As one of the major seaports since ancient times, Xiamen boasts a wide gulf with deep water but without freezing and silting. The name of 'Xiamen' was consequently given, which means 'a gate of China'. As one of the forerunners of the special economic zones of China, Xiamen mainly consisting of Xiamen Island, Gulangyu Island, the north bank area of the Jiulong River and Tong'an County, is connected with the mainland by the Gaoji Seawall, Xiamen Bridge, etc. Xiamen has been called the Egret Island because of the hundreds of thousands of egrets inhabiting there. This is due to the beautiful natural scenery, the fresh air and the clean environment of the city.
