READING ENTRY 1 (M04)

  1. A turbocharger is a small radial fan pump driven by the energy of the exhaust gases of an engine. A turbocharger consists of a turbine and a compressor on a shared shaft. The turbine converts exhaust to rotational force, which is in turn used to drive the compressor. The compressor draws in ambient air and pumps it in to the intake manifold at increased pressure, resulting in a greater mass of air entering the cylinders on each intake stroke. The objective of a turbocharger is the same as a supercharger; to improve the engine's volumetric efficiency by solving one of its cardinal limitations. A naturally aspirated automobile engine uses only the downward stroke of a piston to create an area of low pressure in order to draw air into the cylinder through the intake valves.Because the turbocharger increases the pressure at the point where air is entering the cylinder, a greater mass of air (oxygen) will be forced in as the inlet manifold pressure increases. The additional oxygen makes it possible to add more fuel, increasing the power and torque output of the engine.Because the pressure in the cylinder must not go too high to avoid detonation and physical damage, the intake pressure must be controlled by controlling the rotational speed of the turbocharger.

  2. As popularity and marketing value of the VTEC system grew, Honda applied the system to SOHC (Single Over Head Cam) engines, which shares a common camshaft for both intake and exhaust valves. The trade-off was that Honda's SOHC engines only benefitted from the VTEC mechanism on the intake valves. This is because VTEC requires a third center rocker arm and cam lobe (for each intake and exhaust side), and in the SOHC engine, the spark plugs are situated between the two exhaust rocker arms, leaving no room for the VTEC rocker arm. Additionally, the center lobe on the camshaft can only be utilized by either the intake or the exhaust, limiting the VTEC feature to one side.

However, beginning with the J37A4 3.7L SOHC V6 engine introduced on all 2009 Acura TL SH-AWD models, SOHC VTEC was incorporated for use with intake and exhaust valves. The intake and exhaust rocker shafts contain primary and secondary intake and exhaust rocker arms, respectively. The primary rocker arm contains the VTEC switching piston, while the secondary rocker arm contains the return spring. The term "primary" does not refer to which rocker arm forces the valve down during low-RPM engine operation. Rather, it refers to the rocker arm which contains the VTEC switching piston and receives oil from the rocker shaft.

The primary exhaust rocker arm contacts a low-profile camshaft lobe during low-RPM engine operation. Once VTEC engagement occurs, the oil pressure flowing from the exhaust rocker shaft into the primary exhaust rocker arm forces the VTEC switching piston into the secondary exhaust rocker arm, thus locking both exhaust rocker arms together. The high-profile camshaft lobe which normally contacts the secondary exhaust rocker arm alone during low-RPM engine operation is able to move both exhaust rocker arms together which are locked as a unit.

The secondary intake rocker arm contacts a low-profile camshaft lobe during low-RPM engine operation. Once VTEC engagement occurs, the oil pressure flowing from the intake rocker shaft into the primary intake rocker arm forces the VTEC switching piston into the secondary exhaust rocker arm, thus locking both intake rocker arms together. The high-profile camshaft lobe which normally contacts the primary intake rocker alone during low-RPM engine operation is able to move both intake rocker arms together which are locked as a unit.

The difficulty of incorporating VTEC for both the intake and exhaust valves in a SOHC engine has been removed on the J37A4 by a novel design of the intake rocker arm. Each exhaust valve on the J37A4 corresponds to one primary and one secondary exhaust rocker arm. Therefore, there are a total of twelve primary exhaust rocker arms and twelve secondary exhaust rocker arms.

However, each secondary intake rocker arm is shaped similar to a "Y" which allows it to contact two intake valves at once. One primary intake rocker arm corresponds to each secondary intake rocker arm. As a result of this design, there are only six primary intake rocker arms and six secondary intake rocker arms.

  4. Societies define crime as the breach of one or more rules or laws for which some governing authority via mechanisms such as "police power" may ultimately prescribe a conviction. While every crime violates the law, not every violation of the law counts as a crime; for example: breaches of contract and of other civil law may rank as "offences" or as "infractions".
When society deems informal relationships and sanctions insufficient to establish and maintain a desired social order, there may result more formalized or stricter systems of social control imposed by a government, or by a sovereign state. With institutional and legal machinery at their disposal, agents of the State can compel populations to conform to codes, and can opt to punish or to attempt to reform those who do not conform.
Authorities employ various mechanisms to regulate (encouraging or discouraging) certain behaviors in general. Governing or administering agencies may for example codify rules into laws, police people to ensure they comply with those laws, and implement other policies and practices designed to prevent crime. In addition, authorities provide remedies and sanctions, and collectively these constitute a criminal justice system. Legal sanctions vary widely in their severity, they may include (for example) incarceration of temporary character aimed at reforming the convict. Some jurisdictions have penal codes written to inflict permanent harsh punishments: legal mutilation, capital punishment or life without parole.
The label of "crime" and the accompanying social stigma normally confine their scope to those activities seen as injurious to the general population or to the State, including some that cause serious loss or damage to individuals. Those who apply the labels of "crime" or "criminal" intend to assert the hegemony of a dominant population, or to reflect a consensus of condemnation for the identified behavior and to justify any punishments prescribed by the State (in the event that standard processing tries and convicts an accused person of a crime).

  5. Assalamualaikum and hello to everyone..

For this entry, I would like to share about my dream; that is Nissan 350Z as known as Nissan Fairlady. I like this car because I like the design, look sporty, suit my adolescence soul. This Nissan 350Z is a two seat sports car. For history of tis car, it was manufactured by Nissan Motor Co, LTD. The 350Z is the fifth generation of Nissan's Z-car line, originally introduced in 1969 as the Datsun 240Z. The 350Z entered production in late 2002 and was sold and marketed as a 2003 model. It was available in several trim packages and is sold as both a coupé and roadster before being succeeded by the 370Z for the 2009 model year. It cost RM200. By it's price, I think I can buy this when I am 30 years old. For those who never know this car, you can surf to the internet to see the image of this car or just wait for me to buy this car one day. InsyaAllah..

  7. Now I want to share a little bit knowledge about 'CHICKENPOX'.

I am sure all of you know what chickenpox is. At least once in our life we will get chickenpox. This is what people said. I am not so sure whether it is a fact or just a myth. But what I am going to write here just as an information especially for those who never suffered by this disease.

Chickenpox is very highly infectious disease. It can be spreader through the air from the infected person by coughing or sneezing. If we touch the fluid from a chickenpox blister, we probably will infect. Once a person gets infected, his or her body's temperature will rise and sometimes that person will feel very dizzy. Even without the blister, someone still can spread the disease to others because of the virus (VZV-varicella zoster virus) already inside his or her body. It needs 1 to 5 days for the rashes to come out. That is why we cannot expect when the chickenpox will come out. We might think that it is just an ordinary fever. For those who already infected, it needs 5 to 10 days for all the rashes to come out. Within day 10 to 21, all the rashes will dry slowly and the skin is in recovering process. But it depends on how stronger the virus is. If the blisters are small, the skin is easier to recover.

For the treatment, usually the doctor gives 'calamine lotion' to reduce the itch's feel. But there are some abstentions that we should obey during the infectious. Firstly, do not eat any kind of foods that contain soy sauce or oyster sauce. Secondly, avoid spicy and oily foods. Thirdly, do not take a bath with cold water, but it will much better if we do not take a bath for the first week of infectious. Lastly, avoid your body from the fan or air-conditioner (wind) because probably not all the rashes will come out. All the abstentions that I have listed are not a formal research or studies. It is just people's belief. I am not sure it is true or not but it really works! You will enjoy the moment you had with 'CHICKENPOX' if you do not break these abstentions.

  8. Now I want to share my ideology in used to be one of the hottest news in Malaysia that is reverting Science and Mathematics subject to Bahasa Malaysia.

Teaching science and mathematics in english is a government policy introduce by Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in 2003 aiming to improve the language command among student and teacher. When it first I started, I am one of the test dummy for the policy when I start learning science and mathematics in English when in form 1. At first it was kind of hard to follow the lesson because I never learn science and mathematics in English when I am in primary school. This shift in language really make a huge different in study because the scientific word in Bahasa Melayu is very differ from the scientific word in English. So, I start learning slowly and I manage to catch up but still I do not know what the purpose of the government make this policy.

When I step my feet in Matriculation level, I really understand why this policy is introduce that is because all the learning in higher level is in English and need a lot of communication in English. So, I can be consider a lucky student or I can say a lucky test dummy because I have been trained well in five years of my life in high school to face the music in higher education level.

Even I have to struggle for a while when in form 1, it is fine because a university student life is more hectic then high school student life. A high school student has 5 years to catch up with a lot of time to spare compare to those who are in the higher education level.

  9. To all my friend who is smokes...!!!
Now i want to share some tips..

I just read at newspaper about Smoking and how to quit smoking.Smoking can cause health problems not only for yourself but also for those around you. Tobacco contains nicotine, a drug that is addictive, therefore, makes it very difficult to quit. Smoking greatly increases the risk of getting lung cancer, heart attack, chronic lung disease, stroke, respiratory disease and many other cancers.
What are the steps in quitting? First, set a date for quitting. Then, notice when and why you are smoking. After that, change your smoking routines, smoke only in certain places, such as outdoors. When you want a cigarette, wait a few minutes and think about the consequences. Finally, one can do things to help oneself to remain abstinent.
    All the best!

  10. All praise is due to Allah. We praise Him, seek His aid, and seek His forgiveness. We seek refuge in Allah from the evil which is within our selves, and from the evil in our actions. Whoever Allah guides, none can send astray; whoever Allah sends astray, none can guide.

I bear witness that there is no deity other than Allah alone, and with no partner. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His messenger. Allah sent him with the guidance and the way of truth, that He might raise it above all other ways of life. Allah is sufficient as a witness. May Allah send His prayers and his greetings upon Muhammad and upon the people of Muhammad.

Enjoining right and forbidding wrong is that with which Allah sent the revealed books, and with it He sent His messengers, and it is an integral part of the way (i.e. the deen). The message of Allah is composed of informative and directive parts. As for the informative, it is Allah informing us about Himself, such as tauhid (theology), or His informing us about His creation, such as the stories of previous peoples and Prophets in which are contained for us lessons, threats and promises. The directive part consists of commands to do, commands not to do, and things left to our choice and discretion.

Thus, it has been mentioned in the hadith that the chapter of the Qur'an which starts out: [Say: He is Allah, the One...] is equal to one third of the Qur'an, because of its including the third of tauhid. The Qur'an consists of tauhid, commands, and historical events

  12. Email is the way we communicate, whether it is with parents , friends, co-workers or superior. The “e” to many of you stands for “easy”. It is easy to just send a bit of information and it is easy to cut corners with grammar, punctuation, syntax and formality. Actually , over 80 per cent of your communication is through e-mail; therefore become accustomed to making certain the “e” stands for “engage”. E-mail are not for just the recipient anymore . your e-mail maybe sent to several people whom you did not know would read it.. so use correct grammar, punctuation and syntax.

  13. Six Sigma is a business management strategy, initially implemented by Motorola that today enjoys widespread application in many sectors of industry.
Six Sigma seeks to improve quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects (errors) and variation in manufacturing and business processes. It uses a set of quality management methods, including statistical methods, and creates a special infrastructure of people within the organization ("Black Belts" etc.) who are experts in these methods. Each Six Sigma project carried out within an organization follows a defined sequence of steps and has quantified financial targets (cost reduction or profit increase). :-)

  14. A very good evening to Miss Wati and all my friends. As you all know, everyone needs to eat in order to survive in this world. Each of us has their own favourite food. As for me, my favourite food is desserts. Examples of desserts which I like to eat are cakes and ice-cream. During free time, I would like to eat some cakes and ice-cream for pleasure. The reason that I likes to eat cakes and ice-cream is because of the decoration of the cakes and ice-cream are very interesting. These interesting decoration can makes me feels pleasure and warm when I'm enjoying it. Hence, sometimes I would like to eat some desserts for helping me to release my tension and pressure.
