I learned how to talk well in this english class. Miss Syafawati taught me well on how to talk confidently in front of my class. I was a shy girl before this, now i am confident to give speech in front of the others thanks to miss Syafawati. In this class she taught us how to use proper english, how to write and spell the word correctly. I respect the way she teach us here.
UMP emphasised soft skills in students. I think it is a very good subject recommended to students because nowadays society need people with good communication skills. When you are unable to convey your thoughts through words, there is no meaning to your ideas, despite how remarkable your idea would be.
Technical English in general taught me how to be a public speaker. I learnt what to do and what not to do in presentations. Besides that, I also have the opportunity to speak up during classes. The titles of the impromptu speeches are also very interesting. I got a very serious title, that is the assassination of a dictator is justifiable or not. Despite that, I tried to speak according to what I understand about that topic, and it was really fun, seeing my friends having a lot of question marks on their faces. I picked up the challenge because in real public speaking, we are not allowed to choose our desired topic. We need to talk on the given topic according to our knowledge. Therefore I think the impromptu speeches activity really given me a chance to be a public speaker, and the activity really opened my eyes about my strengths and weakness during my speeches.
I hope there are more of these activities in near future in our class.

PROGRAMMING TECHNIQUES: LECTURE: ENCIK AZIMAN MY THOUGHT OF THIS SUBJECT: 1) since i'm getting to know about this subject, i realized that it may not be so hard for me to understand because it only needs us more pratice and we can go through it. 2) our lecturer is quite good and responsible though sometimes he also needs to practise(haha) because it's normal thing to human being, rite?(forgetful) Therefore, he often reminds us to practice more as we don't know when will we forget the programming codes. GAMBATEH!!! 3) "Try to be a COPY CAT." huh?! MR.Aziman told us during the second class and we all were blurred then. he explained that when we start programming, we don't need to keep typing the same code if we find some similar code then just copy and edit it. It just fine whether you are a 'copy cat' programmer. OHH...(I finally can copy others' work. hehe) 4) By now, I think that i should have interest in this subject. Thank YOU.
My next subject in semester one is Fundamental Discrete Structure. People may thing, what is that? It is like learning structure? It may happen, right? Actually, this is mathematics’ subject. The different is this subject not complicated as other mathematic learnt by student from different faculty. Who say so? It is not complicated, but it is confusing! Chapter 1 learnt about logic, next chapter learnt about set theory and so on. My class still in chapter 2. My teacher would be Miss Rahimah. I refresh my past in learning mathematic. We learn about intersection in the set theory, universal set, Venn diagram, which is premises, which one is the conclusion and many more. Here, I knew the different of subset and proper subset. Furthermore, I also knew that carninal also known as the number of the element. There will be a test for us from chapter one until three. We have difficulty during Monday. Why? Lecture is combine with student from bachelor of network. Because of that, lecture is held in WDKU 1, it is too big and too cold! One of the subject that I have learn in this course is Technical English. The Technical English are teaching about our speaking aspects. It is more depends on our voice,sytle,presentation skills and others. This subject is very good and imperative because it can improve our presentation skills .For instance, we can know about the effective presentation and speaker during session presentation. It also can improve our confidents to talk in front of people. To make an effective presentation like keep your audience interested about the topic, make eye contact and do not read notes .By join this class, I am believe that I can improve my presentation skills. Now ,I am confidents to talk in front of people but sometimes I can do some mistakes during presentation. Everyone must makes mistakes in their life. From the mistakes ,I can learn it to become more better speaker during the presentation. I know I am not good speaking in English language. Mathematics. I like it at the simple way but not the complicated way. Now I have to take this fundamental discrete structure. I think it is a hardship for me. Why it is not the simple mathematics that only involves plus, minus, multiply and divide. For the first chapter, I will learn about logic. Sounds like logic. I have a big smile on my face. Truth table is the first thing on chapter 1. Now only I know that the things I learn before very useful in here. Proposition is a declarative sentence either true or false, but not both. Then I learn about the basic logical connectives and others. Actually this course is quite easy as long as you try hard. I really try hard on this and I just like to do mathematics questions starts from now. Feel like a piece of cake. Chapter 2 is about set theory, unfortunately I learn it all in Malay language. As we all know, the top fear of human is public speaking. Through Technical English, we are learning how to overcome the top fear of human. We are exposed to different condition and problem. Through this subject we know how to handle all possible problems with different condition and environment in public speaking. To make sure our presentation is well done, we have to use verbal communication and non-verbal communication. Non-verbal communication is a body language or a communication without word. For the other subject like ICT competency workshop, we are learning about the component inside the computer. In this subject, we will learn about the function of each component inside the computer in detail. From this lesson, I can learn more about how to operate the computer well and find the solution when facing any problem. We also can see the real component that set inside the computer, this can let us identified and memories those components easier. It is same in the subject computer architecture & organization, we will also learn about the organization in those components. But, the difference is we are able to learn computer language. The computer language is the most challenging; because it got so many things need to memorized. For example, we have to learn number systems that from binary change to decimal or hexadecimal and also in inversely. For me it is difficult because I might forget in the next minute and become confused on it. Furthermore,in my course,I have learn subject Fundamental Descrete Structure.The code for this subject is BCT 1073.Normally students call this subject is Mathematics.Today we have finish Chapter 2 and tomorrow we will start on Chapter 3.This subject held four times a week.Three times for lecture and one time for tutorial.Besides these subjects,I also learn subject ICT Competency Workshop.This subject held on twice a week.Both class on Tuesday at FSK 7B at block X.This subject I have study about the component in computer.They are many types of component,such as memory devices,RAM,CPU and many others.The other subject that I need to learn in this course is Application Development Workshop.The code for this subject is BCC 1033.This subject is held at FSK 5,twice a week.For now,I only study how to make a form through Window Visual Studio.I already install the software on my laptop.So,it easy for me to do my homework or assignment.The last subject that I have learn for this course is Computer Architecture and Organization.The code for this subject is BCN 1043.My lecturer for this subject is Encik Fadli.This subject is study about how data process through the computer.
Presentation week. I really nervous when heard about presentation. Although at the matriculation before this I always have the presentation but me a little bit nervous when presenting. The assignment is about me. We have to tell to everyone about the uniqueness or the differences about the personality we have. There are a lot of different things that I can know about my classmate they told about their family members, hobbies, and their legend. About the legend, they choose the people who impress them or who really influent their life that can change or give effect to the life. When they present about the legend there are a lot of knowledge that I can gain such as can know more close about the legend and there are a few people that be the legend is I do not even know. The family members is the highest people that be taken by my classmate as the legend such as parents, brothers, and sister’s. They told about their parents, brothers, or sister’s ability that give them much more moral support and their achievement that make us also impress. The artist like, Allahyarham , Sudirman, the singer that I can not remember her name because she is an international artist,our astronaut, Syeikh Muzaphar Syukor, our prime minister,Tun Dr. Mahathir, our squash player, Nicol Ann David. Hello. Now i just found out from Amirah (she is sitting next to me now in this class) that we can write just about anything that comes up in our mind. Beforehand Miss Syafawati said that we can only write about our opinion regarding the course that we are taking here in UMP. Well well well, now that i have the right to babble all i might, i will try to conjure my best effort in order to write something which someone might found meaningful and deep. Who am i kidding. I am not a deep person. Nonetheless not any insightful. Sometimes i found myself not very useful either. But I am a sensitive human being. Who get hurts easily by ruthless words and words spoken without wisdom. If you may, someone who is higly educated, or maybe someone with great wisdom will always comes up with the best word which will form beautiful sentences one might utter and never hurt another feelings. I like to read. Any books, any form of reading material is suffice for me to just sit down, absorb all the knowledge and ponder about the contents of the writing. Words can be so beautiful that one might tear upon hearing it. Programming techniques is a quit difficult to learn because we must write the right code before we run. This subject is not same like application development workshop. This code we must understanding n reminder and cannot be only remember because if we remember this code, we maybe cannot understanding function of the code. This subject can help us to do the program for all. This subject is not difficult if we do the more exercise.
On the first day, I have first class with Encik Aziman, he explained a lot about programming technical. He likes to give us some advice. Besides, he also told us that this program is not a difficult to study if we try to improve ourselves in this program. The important thing is we should have interest in this program. When the first time I heard that I will learn programming, I wonder what kind of lesson it would be? Never learn it. I think it might be difficult and I got worried. My second course in University Malaysia Pahang (UMP) is Programming Techniques. This course was taught by Sir Aziman. In this course, I learn about how to make codes in programming. This course is new to me. Before this, I never learn about programming. When I start learning this course, my mind have already blank. Sir aziman keep taught and taught in front of class but I still do not understand anything. Because I believe in the word “never give up”, I started to practice n keep practice the exercise about the programming techniques. After that, I think that I begin to like this subject very well.

Programming techniques is a quit difficult to learn because we must write the right code before we run. This subject is not same like application development workshop. This code we must understanding n reminder and cannot be only remember because if we remember this code, we maybe cannot understanding function of the code. This subject can help us to do the program for all. This subject is not difficult if we do the more exercise.

On the first day, I have first class with Encik Aziman, he explained a lot about programming technical. He likes to give us some advice. Besides, he also told us that this program is not a difficult to study if we try to improve ourselves in this program. The important thing is we should have interest in this program. But for now on, I’m still hard to go on with this program. Through this program, I have studied that we should know and remember all the codes to run a program. I really hope that I can excellence in this program one day. I also hope that my friends can help me to make me more confident to run any program.

ReplyDeleteToday I also like to talk about subject programming techniques. As we know it is a important subject from programme Computer Scince… Why this subject is important, just thinking it by ourself.. At first our class lec and lab for this subject, I think it is so easy.. Just looking for problem and solve it. Look at around, what not enough there, and then think how to do and do.. Actually, En.Aziman did’nt want to give a surprise stress to we. Huhuhu.. And then when, we know what is the programming and what is borland c++.. Many of we, feel so bad and sad, because get a great shock for it.. It’s not to easy as I think at begin class.. But don’t worry, just relax, if others people can do why not we.. Of course, we also can find it. Become a lot of error, become to be a good programmer….Just do it..

When the first time I heard that I will learn programming, I wonder what kind of lesson it would be? Never learn it. I think it might be difficult and I got worried. But the lecture who teach that subject, Mr. Aziman, said that in this subject we must learn to be a copy cat, it’s hard to type same thing repeatedly to much and we can also just cop and paste any code from internet. I’m so glad to hear that, (well I quite confident about my copying skill, so nothing to worry any more). After all now I feel this subject is very fun to learn.

ICT Competency Workshop is one of the subject in my course.The class have 4 hours in a week.My class just on tuesday.2 hours in morning and 2 hours in evening.My lecturer is En. Izham.He is a funny person.In this subject,I learn about compenent of the computer such as memory,ram,motherboard and others.I also learn about the function of compenent computer.I must know the function each compenent.I have test about compenent computer.The test is to identify the compenent computer and function of compenent in a computer.I also learn about formatting.How want to format the PC and install the software.I get many knowledge in the subject.So,the subject is very useful for me.

My second course in University Malaysia Pahang (UMP) is Programming Techniques. This course was taught by Sir Aziman. In this course, I learn about how to make codes in programming. This course is new to me. Before this, I never learn about programming. When I start learning this course, my mind have already blank. Sir aziman keep taught and taught in front of class but I still do not understand anything. Because I believe in the word “never give up”, I started to practice n keep practice the exercise about the programming techniques. After that, I think that I begin to like this subject very well.
